November 22, 2020 Christ the King Sunday Rev. Dr. Martha M. Campbell

Our service this Sunday, Nov. 22nd, following the welcome by Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell on Christ the King Sunday, Dr. Imre Szilas plays “Consolation No. 5” by Franz Liszt on the Westminster Pipe organ. Then the community is invited to join in singing “Come, Thou Almighty King.”

Following the announcements of gratitude for the support in feeding 40 area families on Thanksgiving Day Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell leads prayers for our world, our country, our community and our church – closing with the Lord’s Prayer.

Then all encouraged to join in A Litany for Christ the King.

Imre Szilas accompanies the anthem, “Pure Gospel Love” a traditional Shaker Hymn sung by Quinn Davis.

Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell then leads us in the Prayer of Illumination and reads the Scripture Lesson – Ephesians 1:15-23.  Martha then preaches on Christ as the King and the challenges a king brings to us in our culture.  She then closes the service with the Charge and Benediction.

The service concludes with Dr Imre Szilas playing, “Now Thank We All our God” by Franz Liszt.
