May 31, 2020 Pentecost Making All Things New-7 Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell

Today is Pentecost.  The day the Holy Spirit descended on the 11 disciples and blessed them with a courageous faith and the ability to speak in other languages.  This week Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell will be considering how the Holy Spirit changed Saul, a Pharisee, into Paul – a man who knew and trusted  Christ.  Paul was the last of the apostles to be blessed by the Spirit (on the road to Damascus) and he used his education and intellect to help other Christians better understand their Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer.

Forrest Campbell is reading the Scripture for us from Acts 16:16-34 where Paul and Silas are singing in prison.

Imre Szilas is playing one his composition, “God Is A Spirit”, for the prelude.  Then another original piece: the upbeat “Come, Holy Ghost.”,for the Anthem. For the Postlude, Imre closes our service with “Kyrie: God, Holy Spirit” by J.S. Bach.
