June 7, 2020 Trinity Sunday Windows of Westminster- 1 Rev. Dr. Twining F. Campbell

Posted on June 7, 2020 @ 1:10 pm

Today is Trinity Sunday the day set aside in the 10th century so we would remember that God is three persons in one body: Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer or, more commonly, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We are also starting a new sermon series based on the stained glass windows in our sanctuary.
Ginger Loesch is reading the Scripture for us from John 1:35-39 where John the Baptizer points to Jesus and tells two of his followers: “Behold the Lamb of God.”
On the Westminster pipe organ, Imre Szilas opens with “Fantasy in G” by Balint Bakfark and closes with “Glory to God” by his teacher, Zoltan Kodaly. The anthem features the Westminster Trio (Imre Szilas on piano and synthisizers, Bowie Bossendorfer on drums, and Twining Campbell bass guitar) playing “Sanctus” written by Imre.
