Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell welcomes the community to worship then leads everyone in the Call to Worship with Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell.

Dr. Imre Szilas plays the Prelude: “Fanfare” by Gilbert Martin.

After the Westminster Chimes, Pastor Twine leads the community in singing the second verse of: “Be Not Afraid.”

Pastor Martha shares the announcements and Prayer concerns then leads the congregation in prayer followed by The Lord’s Prayer and then The Affirmation of Faith.

Imre Szilas plays the Anthem – an original composition by Imre Szilas: “Jesus, Lamb of God.”

The Prayer of Illumination and the Bible reading from Isaiah 43:16-21 follow, then Pastor Twine presents the sermon: Getting Back Out There. As we begin to “reopen” some folks are excited while others have differing lives of anxiety. After 15 months plus – what have we learned? Today we’ll consider that what we focus on guides our decisions and choices; that we can’t go back to some idyllic time ignoring those choices and decisions. But our vision of the future can make our choices and decisions either a burden or a means of grace. As we make following Jesus the vision of our future our choices and decisions will help us to follow faithfully.

The service closes with the Charge, Benediction and Postlude: “Fugue in D” by J.S. Bach played by Imre Szilas.

Our services are filmed by Robert Smith and are available on our webpage (wpcpas.org) and our Facebook and YouTube pages (Westminster Presbyterian Church, Pasadena, CA) or if you provide your contact information we can send a link every Sunday.
