After Dr. Martha Campbell welcomes everyone to the Westminster community, the Paddock Family leads us in the Call to Worship and light the four Advent Candles; then Dr. Imre Szilas plays the Prelude: Variations on “Adeste Fidelis” (O Come, All Ye Faithful) by Marcel Dupré.

The congregation is invited to join in singing “Gentle Mary Laid Her Child.”  Then, following the announcements about upcoming services (Longest Night of Dec. 21st and Christmas Eve on Dec. 24th),  then Rev. Dr. Twining Campbell lead the congregation in the Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer.

A brief musical interlude, “Lo, How a Rose e’er Blooming,” precedes the Advent Affirmation of Faith.
Our anthem is “O Christmas Tree” and features Zak Graff– trumpet and Dr. Imre Szilas playing the Westminster pipe organ.

Riley Paddock reads the Prayer of Illumination and the Scripture lesson: Luke 1:26-38 then Rev. Dr. Martha Campbell preaches on Mary and her faithfulness using the window that is in our sanctuary.

The service concludes with the Charge and Benediction and Dr. Imre Szilas playing the conclusion of Marcel Dupré’s “Variations on ‘Adeste Fidelis’”.

Our services are filmed by Robert Smith and are available on our webpage (wpcpas.org), and our Facebook page and YouTube channel: Westminster Presbyterian Church, Pasadena, CA.
