Rev. Katherine Lee Baker

Senior Pastor

Rev. Katherine Lee Baker is the Senior Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California, and an ordained minister in the Reformed Church in America. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, she also pursued continued coursework at the Jewish Theological Seminary, New Brunswick Theological Seminary, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and Loyola University Medical Center. With experience spanning parish, clinical, campus, corporate, and non-profit ministries across the East Coast and Midwest, Rev. Baker brings a deep commitment to community engagement, intersectional justice, and holistic spiritual care. Her ministry is centered on cultivating emotional agility, spiritual resiliency, and compassionate leadership—rooted in a progressive and inclusive vision of faith that meets the modern world with courage and grace.

Dr. Imre Szilas

Organist and Director of Music

For over four decades, Dr. Imre Szilas has inspired worship and artistry as the Organist and Director of Music at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California. A classically trained musician and composer, Imre directs the church’s choir and bell choir, performs on its magnificent four-manual, 54-stop pipe organ, and writes original compositions for worship and concert settings. Imre’s extensive career includes long-standing roles as Organist at Eagle Rock Seventh-day Adventist Church and Piano Accompanist at Pasadena City College, where he has nurtured countless students and musicians. His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Sacred Music from Faith Theological Seminary, a Master of Music in Organ Performance from California State University–Northridge, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano and Composition from the Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music. His life’s work embodies the union of faith, artistry, and education—a ministry of music that elevates the soul and unites the community in harmony.

Trina Cundieff

Church Administrator

Trina Cundieff brings over two decades of administrative, financial, and production management experience to her role as Church Administrator at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Since 2019, she has overseen daily operations, facilities coordination, tenant relations, accounting, HR processes, and event support for weddings, funerals, and community partnerships. With a background spanning nonprofit administration, payroll and bookkeeping, and film/television production, Trina is passionate about organizational management, clear communication, and streamlining complex systems with care and efficiency. She holds a B.A. in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.

Robert Smith

Tech and Production Manager

With over 40 years of experience in film, lighting, and production design, Robert Smith brings a masterful understanding of storytelling through visual art. As Tech and Production Manager at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Robert merges his professional expertise with a deep spiritual calling—creating sacred spaces where technology and artistry meet worship and community. Before joining WPC, Robert owned and operated Lightsmith Electrical and Grip Company in Colorado, collaborating on projects that span feature films, network dramas, documentaries, music videos, commercials, and live award shows including The Oscars, The Emmys, and The Golden Globes. A recipient of eight Emmy Awards and twelve nominations, Robert’s work reflects both technical excellence and spiritual insight. His vocation continues at Westminster, where he blends creativity, craftsmanship, and care in service of divine storytelling.

Ramon Solis

WPC Campus Supervisor

As a seasoned facility ministry professional, Ramon Solis re-joins our team to focus his time on major maintenance projects — providing leadership and oversight for the management, maintenance, and long-term stewardship of Westminster Presbyterian Church’s campus and related properties. In his role, Ramon focuses on emergency preparedness, disaster readiness, and supporting sustainable ministry, community engagement, and organizational growth.

Jay Gerig

WPC Facilities Minister & Sexton

A local Altadenan with an impressively-diverse vocational background, Jay serves as the hands-on steward of Westminster Presbyterian Church’s campus, ensuring that buildings, grounds, worship spaces, and event facilities are safe, clean, welcoming, and mission-ready. In his role, Jay focuses on daily operations, custodial oversight, event support, room setup, hospitality, volunteer coordination, and proactive identification of maintenance needs — helping create an environment that reflects WPC’s commitment to vibrant worship, faithful service, and radical welcome.

Rev. Tom Eggebeen

Parish Associate

Rev. Eggebeen is a native of the Midwest and has served churches in the East Coast and Midwest, before moving to Los Angeles for interim ministry. Rev. Eggebeen likes to walk, read, and write; he’s a movie buff and loves to cook. He and his wife Donna live in the retirement community of Monte Vista Grove Homes and enjoy traveling, train-watching, visiting museums and local theaters as well as entertaining.

Having previously served WPC as interim minister, Rev. Eggebeen continues to serve WPC at the request of Sr. Pastor Rev. Katherine Lee Baker and with the approval of the Presbytery of San Gabriel.

Evlyn Roper

WPC Ministry Intern

Evlyn Roper is originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and moved to Los Angeles as part of the Army’s Chaplain Candidate Program. She received her M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary, and is pursuing ordination through PC(USA) in preparation to serve as an Army Chaplain. Evlyn chose to complete her internship at WPC because of the historicity, location, and direction as a church through which God is actively engaging the heart of the Pasadena and Altadena community. She is looking forward to learning how God is already at work through our congregation and cannot wait to join in our effort as we continue to grow in grace.

Committees

Finance & Stewardship

The Finance & Stewardship Committee supports the ministry and mission of Westminster Presbyterian Church by ensuring faithful, transparent, and strategic use of the resources entrusted to us. Meeting twice a year with ongoing coordination, the committee guides budgeting, financial planning, policy development, and reporting practices that equip Session and staff to make thoughtful decisions. This ministry also helps shape stewardship initiatives, campus-use strategies, fundraising efforts, grant opportunities, and long-term financial sustainability. Through responsible oversight and a spirit of generosity, the committee works to strengthen WPC’s witness, support our ministries, and prepare the church for a thriving future.

Building & Grounds

The Building & Grounds Committee supports Westminster Presbyterian Church’s mission by stewarding our historic campus with care, strategy, and long-range vision. Meeting three times a year or as necessary, the committee oversees ongoing maintenance, contractor relationships, campus improvements, signage, accessibility upgrades, and capital planning. This ministry also advances future opportunities—such as community partnerships, rental use, campus tours, and event marketing—to ensure our facilities remain welcoming, safe, and vibrant for worship, mission, and the wider neighborhood. Through thoughtful planning and faithful stewardship, the committee helps our buildings serve as a living witness to God’s hospitality and hope.

Mission & Outreach

The Mission & Outreach Committee extends Westminster Presbyterian Church’s calling into the neighborhood by cultivating partnerships, organizing service initiatives, and guiding our congregation’s engagement with the wider community. Meeting three times a year, the committee supports long-standing relationships with local nonprofits, schools, arts groups, and recovery communities, as well as our primary mission partners—the Westminster Pasadena Foundation, Westminster Counseling Center, and the ACTS Food Pantry. Through seasonal traditions, collaborative events, community care projects, and justice-centered service opportunities, this ministry helps WPC live out Christ’s call to compassion, generosity, and neighborly love. Together, we seek to be a visible sign of hope and hospitality across Altadena, Pasadena, and beyond.

Worship & Music

The Worship & Music Committee nurtures the heart of Westminster Presbyterian Church by guiding the shape, beauty, and depth of our weekly worship. Meeting twice a year with ongoing coordination, the committee supports worship planning, music ministries, sacramental life, special services, and community partnerships—from choir leadership to liturgical traditions, from interfaith observances to large seasonal celebrations. This ministry also helps steward our historic organ, expand musical outreach, explore multilingual accessibility, and encourage creative expressions of praise that uplift the congregation and welcome the wider community. Through thoughtful collaboration among staff, musicians, and volunteers, the committee helps ensure worship at Westminster remains vibrant, inclusive, and spiritually grounded.

Membership, Education, Youth

The Membership, Education & Youth Committee strengthens the life of Westminster Presbyterian Church by nurturing faith at every age and stage of discipleship. Meeting twice a year with ongoing follow-up, the committee oversees intergenerational ministries—from baptisms and confirmations to new member welcome, faith milestones, retreats, and adult education opportunities. This ministry also supports children, youth, and young adults through collaborative programs, special events, and partnerships with neighboring congregations. By fostering belonging, spiritual growth, and meaningful connection, the committee helps ensure that every person—newcomer or lifelong member—has a place to learn, grow, and thrive in community.

Personnel

The Personnel Committee supports the ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church by ensuring that our staff, policies, and workplace practices reflect our commitment to care, accountability, and healthy leadership. Meeting regularly throughout the year, the committee oversees hiring processes, onboarding, background checks, benefits, role updates, and staff support, while also addressing emergent concerns and fostering clear boundaries that allow our team to thrive. Through thoughtful review of handbooks, policies, and position needs, the committee helps cultivate a safe, equitable, and mission-centered environment where every staff member is equipped to serve the congregation and community faithfully.

Presbytery of San Gabriel

Westminster Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and belongs to the Presbytery of San Gabriel—a regional community of Presbyterian churches serving the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas. Together, our churches support one another in ministry, share resources, develop leaders, and collaborate to strengthen our witness and service throughout the region.

Being part of the Presbytery means we:
