Welcome to WPC
Where All Are Called and God’s Love Is Shared
Worship Time & Location
Join us every Sunday at 10:00AM PST in-person or online for a time of worship, reflection, and fellowship.
Our sanctuary, nestled at 1757 N. Lake Avenue in Pasadena (sharing the corner and neighborhood of Altadena) offers a warm and welcoming space filled with life, light, and connection for all!
Our Mission & Vision
Rooted in both Altadena and Pasadena, we strive to build a community of faith and faithfulness, where hospitality is more than a gesture, it’s our way of life. We commit ourselves to social justice, compassionate action, and a radical love that reaches every neighbor, especially those on the margins.

Meet Rev. Katherine Lee Baker
With joy and expectation, we welcome our new pastor Rev. Katherine Lee Baker. Her ministry is grounded in compassion, connection, and the belief that love and mercy transforms lives and communities.
Rooted & Resilient
Founded in 1906
A New Community of Faith
WPC began in 1906 as a small mission outpost on the corner of Lake Avenue and Claremont Street — a few faithful families dreaming of a neighborhood church that would reflect God’s love in word and deed.
A New Home in 1926
Building for the Future
By the mid-1920s, the young congregation had outgrown its original bungalow chapel and envisioned a new home where generations could gather.
The 1950s
A Place to Thrive
The postwar years brought tremendous vitality to Westminster. The 1950s marked a time of growth, connection, and community life, as the congregation flourished with ministries for all ages.
The 1960s
A Place of Challenge
The 1960s brought social transformation — and Westminster was not untouched by it. When Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke in Pasadena, some protested while others rejoiced — and Westminster’s leadership chose courage over comfort, standing for justice and inclusion.
The 1990s
A Place of Change
The 1990s ushered in a new season of ministry marked by diversity, creativity, and outreach. Westminster expanded its partnerships with local schools, community groups, and the arts — opening its campus as a shared space for non-profits, recovery groups, and after-school programs.
The 2000s
A Place of Consistency
Through the early 2000s, Westminster became known for its steady leadership and faithful presence. Amid national and cultural shifts, the congregation remained anchored by its values of worship, community care, and hospitality.
The 2020s
A Place of Renewal
In the 2020s, Westminster stands at a crossroads of renewal and recommitment. After years of pandemic disruption and social change, the church has embraced a new vision — to be a center for spiritual vitality, neighborhood partnership, and regional transformation.

Partners & Outreach
Rooted & Resilient
Westminster’s campus is home to more than Sunday worship, it’s a place where compassion takes shape through partnership and service. Together with organizations like Acts Food Pantry, Lift Congregational, and Villa Esperanza, we help nourish our neighbors, support families, and create opportunities for all to flourish.
Each ministry reflects our shared calling to love boldly and serve faithfully, both within our walls and throughout the wider Pasadena and Altadena communities.
Get involved
Serve Boldly. Love Deeply.
There are many ways to be part of Westminster’s story, through worship, service, generosity, and belonging.
