Posted on August 26, 2019 @ 6:13 pm

Following the Westminster Chimes Dr. Imre Szilas plays the first half of: Prelude and Fugue in E minor by J.S. Bach.

The congregation joins in singing the first stanza of Open My Eyes that I May See.

Julie Haynes leads the congregation in the Prayer for Illumination then reads the scripture lesson: Eccleisastes 2:22-26.  After the congregational response Pastor Twining Campbell leads the congregation in the Lord’s Prayer.

The Westminster Trio (Imre Szilas – piano, Bowie Bossendorfer – drums and Twining Campbell – bass guitar) play the Offertory: Jazz Kyrie Eleison written by Imre Szilas.

Rev. Dr. Martha presents the sermon God in the movies based on the movie – Ground Hog Day.  The movie is challenging as it raises questions: What would you do if there were no consequences?  What do you do with eternity?  Can you be satisfied now?  All these questions surround God’s presence with us.

Pastor Martha closes the service with the Charge and Benediction followed by Imre Szilas playing the Postlude – the conclusion of: Prelude and Fugue in E minor by J.S. Bach.
