What to Expect
Services begin in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday. Coffee hour and fellowship happen every Sunday after the service and are a great time to meet and make connections. We hope you’ll get to know our church better and feel the excitement here. We invite you to come back often and get involved in the spiritual growth, education, music, fellowship, service and mission opportunities.

The Prayer & Worship Center
As members of Westminster and people of the Christian faith, we all share the desire to further our relationship with God. Westminster emphasizes the importance of prayer in developing that relationship. The Prayer and Worship Center offers people a unique space dedicated to prayer and quiet worship and reflection, where you will have the opportunity to know God more deeply. The intimate setting of the Prayer and Worship Center within the walls of our sanctuary reminds us that we need both congregational and individual time with God – to experience a satisfying relationship with God.
Music & Worship
At Westminster, we are “People of the Word.” The reading of Scripture and the preaching of the sermon are key elements of Reformed worship. Dr. Imre Szilas, a renowned organist, heads our music program which includes the Cathedral Choir and the Children’s Choir. During the year Imre offers many concerts, including two half-hour halloween concerts on October 31st. In addition, Westminster hosts the Modern Brass at Christmas. For more information about our organ and various music programs please visit here.
We worship every Sunday at 10:00 am. Additional services that we celebrate are:
- Homecoming in September
- All Saints – the first Sunday in November
- Advent – the four Sundays before Christmas
- Christmas Eve services
- 4:00 pm – A fun family service with pageant
- 8:00 pm – A candlight service you’ll never forget
- Ash Wednesday – with St. Elizabeth’s (in our sanctuary)
- Holy Week: Palm Sunday, Maunday Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter
Westminster Presbyterian Church is endowed with a wonderful sanctuary with three balconies which allows for music to be performed in a variety of styles. The Cathedral choir rehearses from7:30-9 pm on Wednesday nights September through June. Every Christmas Season we are blessed to host a brass concert that is free to the public. The traditional Christmas Eve service includes candle-lighting and the singing of carols and the Easter celebration is enhanced musically with additional instrumentalists.
